Scout

September 2008 - "Hello, Glen.

Just wanted to let you know that Scout is doing great. He has a very fun temperment and is very smart.

He seems completely potty trained and has had only once peed in the house. He sleeps all night and loves his crate. He comes when we call, but prefers to be off leash and go out exploring and then circle back to us. We love that. He is eager to please and LOVES people. He is pretty afraid of other dogs though. If you have any advice on that, please let me know.

Thanks for a great dog."

November 2008 - "Scout is doing wonderfully! He is really a great puppy. He is very comfortable around other dogs now and is having a really great time with some. The kids love him and he couldn’t be sweeter. He is really fun to watch in the field. He is a little timid about swimming, but seems really interested. Can you tell me how much his littermates weigh at this point? he vet says he looks great, but I think he looks a little lean and he weighs about 25 lbs.

Thanks so much. He is awesome."

May 2009 - written by the family's 11 year old daughter - "Scout, our Timberdoodle puppy, is smart and sweet and energetic and very fun to be with. He loves the beach and big fields and would chase every bird and every squirrel in the town forever. He is strong and agile and can leap over the seawall at the local beach! Whenever we take this loveable pup anywhere, he can out run any dog at all, no competition. When we are in the woods, at almost every bush he goes into a flush. He rarely barks and responds faithfully to our instructions. He is loyal and friendly and though he may chew the occasional shoe, he is loved by everyone."

September 2005 - "I just wanted to check in and let you know how much we love our new puppy. My kids named him Tucker and have fallen in love. We still miss our old guy, but coming home to a mew pup is truly joyous.

I must say that this is an amazing little fellow. He has only had one accident in the house; and since the first night, he happily goes into his kennel from 11pm-6am without a squeak. He comes when called and sits on command. Right now he is lying on my feet looking and looking quite adorable.

Thank you!"

July 2003 - "Hi DeMott Family,

Jerry brought home our lovely little young pup last night - and I have instantly fallen in love with him. We decided to give him a different name - but will try to carry on a traditional name from using his family heritage.

I am generally a cat person - but even the "Clan" likes this pup... I am very impressed with the history on his family and look forward to keeping you posted as to what has happened to this pup.

Thanks for letting him come to live in our home - he will be treasured."

August 2003 - "I really enjoyed talking to Glenn this morning - I can't wait to find out more about training our puppy and the club. Sounds like it would be a fun thing to do this summer - fall and life.

He sure is a smart little guy. Can't believe he is already fetching. I love it. And I will have to get him and my old Lab out for swimming lessons soon. That would be fun. Josh - our 8 year old lab - loves to swim... so he would enjoy this - and I am pretty sure how dossil he is with our family of kids - letting the 11 month old tug his ears... he'll be just fine with the puppy.

We are still thinking up names... we are thinking of doing some kind of "Timbersmith" name for his formal name - to kind of keep in tradition of his family and then possibly someday start our own? Who knows.

Well - get some pictures of him doing his amazing feets - and soon we'll take him down to our land where Jerry hunts and we ride our ATV's - should be a good time with everyone...

Thanks again for letting him join our family. He is special. I will let you know what his new name is as soon as we figure it out..."

July 2003 -"Nemo is doing great. He is adapting well and loves my other dog. He is sleeping better and playing hard. He sleeps with one of my daughters or me during the night. He is biting alot (not anymore than Kip did when he was a baby). Thanks for the advice because I was not sure how to break him of the habit.

So far we haven't had to leave him alone. Probably tomorrow might be the first day he might be left for a few hours-hopefully not. He doesn't seem to like the cage much. I leave it open and put his toys in it. I read that you are suppose to close it with him in it during the day for a minute to get him used to it. Tried that yesterday but he didn't like it at all. I think he is getting rather spoiled.

He seems to like the long walks in the morning at a field. Each day he is becoming more relaxed and stays by my side. He can't make the whole time walking so I carry him part of the way. He comes back and sleeps for about an hour.

There have been so many great picture opportunites with Nemo and Kip as well as with my kids. However, as soon as I move to get the camera, he follows me!

He really has been a complete joy and we all love him to death. It has helped now that he is becoming more relaxed and sleeps better. I hope you are having luck selling the rest of your puppies. If Nemo is an example, they will all be excellent dogs!

I'll keep you posted. Having a puppy is like having a baby, I am falling behind on my work. Fortunately I will have all my children home this week-end and I can concentrate on getting some of my office work done.

Talk to you soon."

July 2003 - "He is coming by his name with no problem. He will bring things back to me when I throw them and sit when I ask him to. I haven't used the whistle yet, wasn't sure when I was supposed to. Can you let me know how and when I use it. When I take him running every morning he is really good about coming to me when I call him--he usually stays close to me or my other dog ( they have become great friends). We so love Nemo. He has captured all of our hearts. He is right at home now and is beginning to run. We have this section in the back yard by our deck that goes around the pool, it has stones in it. He loves running around it. I also got him introduced to water. When I backflush the pool filter, he loves to play in the water.

What a great puppy!! We are so happy to have him.

Hope all is going well."

June 2005 - "Two years old now and endearing to all who meet him. Nigel spent time with Gary Wilson for training and Gary felt that Nigel has what it takes to shine in the fifth series of the Nationals. The spring went well for Nigel in the puppy competitions he currently ranks 3rd in the nation in puppy points. In the fall Nigel will move on to the all age trials and display his hard driving smooth running style. My goal is to help Nigel fulfill his potential."

June 2005 - "Both dogs are fine. Since we put up a fence and a dog door they are outside all the time. Running, Running, Running. We really do enjoy them. Here's a picture of them, I don't know if you saw this one."
